About Us

Newmeasures develops and administers simple, effective survey instruments that help organizations thrive in an environment that fosters employee satisfaction, retention and ultimately greater profits.

Newmeasures was founded in 1997 on the premise that traditional associate opinion surveys were in need of drastic modifications in order to be useful for organizational improvement initiatives. Typically, associate opinion surveys are long (more than 20 minutes to complete), and organizations do not receive their results for months. When the results do arrive, they are in large binders containing reams of data, with no clear guidance on which areas to focus organizational change efforts. Often, change initiatives are never undertaken and the results are not discussed again until it is time to re-take the survey, one or two years later.

The company's flagship product is the Newmeasures Employee Survey, a 16-item employee survey that measures both organizational effectiveness and job satisfaction. In 2002, Newmeasures introduced its Manager Survey, which applies the strengths of the Employee Survey instrument to give organizations a tool to evaluate the strengths of front-line managers. From both surveys, organizations receive specific, actionable results within two weeks of survey completion.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Newmeasures works with mid and large-size companies across the nation, with a particular strength in working with healthcare systems. Newmeasures was founded to provide an alternative to the traditional employee survey and to offer a survey tool that would enable organizations to act on valid data in order to improve overall organization effectiveness. We seek to partner with high-performing, values-based organizations to support them in achieving their mission and to further our own vision and values.

Our Values are as follows:

  • Integrity – we keep our promises and meet our agreements
  • Service – we strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations in every phase of the survey process
  • Excellence – our work is of the highest quality, our research is drawn from the best sources, our reports are always accurate, valid and reliable

Motto: Built on inspiration, driven by data and focused on the human side of organizations.
